IShKaR ziNe #1

Automne Studio designed the first Ishkar publication "Ishkar zine, Craftsmanship from countries at war". This newspaper has been created to share stories which provide a rare window onto lands known for their distinctive culture long before they were known for war.

The newspaper's layout is based on a subtle folding design, that progressively reveals the articles and, when fully unfolded, displays a 76 cm by 45 cm poster. Pantone color printing on 100% recycled paper reflects a commitment to both quality and environmental responsibility.

Ishkar aims to reconnect isolated countries like Afghanistan, Yemen, Mali, and Iraq with the world, overcoming real and imagined barriers that have hindered international trade and tourism.

To restore these connections, Ishkar collaborates with partners worldwide, blending travel, craftsmanship, and storytelling. Their mission is to change one-sided narratives and create vital economic opportunities in these regions.
